JDA Dublin: YCF 10 Principles. Sinking the Chest and Raising the Back Print

A series of one day workshops hosted by Ross Cousens, JDA Dublin.

Everyday teachings tell us we must stand with the chest forward and the shoulders back. This results in the breath and chi becoming ‘stuck’ in the upper torso making the body top heavy and easy to uproot. Regular practice of Hollowing the Chest allows the breath and chi to sink to the Dan Tien, the body’s natural energy centre. From there, Raising the Back draws the energy and stores it ready for expression. A one day workshop in Malahide exploring these complimentary principles through common Chi Kung and Tai Chi postures. No prior experience required.
