Annual Instructor's Retreat 2008

Our Annual Instructor retreat is upon us again. Here are some photos of the week.

The grounds at Preston provide the perfect setting for the Tai Chi Retreat.

One of the most enjoyable parts of the retreat is that we get a close up demonstration of the exercise in hand by Sifu. A volunteer is plucked out and gets to experience first hand, the concept that Sifu trying to teach.

A different volunteer is chosen this time. Most people get the chance to participate, and we soon learn that we can do nothing to counteract the move that Sifu is demonstrating.

Once the demonstration is over it's time to put into practice what we have learned while Sifu walks around and assists. Another chance for students to get some first hand experience.

The rest of us pair up and keep trying to make it work ! Pairing up with different partners each time allows us to get a depth of experience that we don't normally have access to at our local clubs.
