Annual Instructor's Weekend & Annual Tai Chi Dinner PDF Print E-mail

The Instructor weekend is always a welcome opportunity for all the instructors to get together towards the end of the year where we can both train and look forward to the annual tai chi dinner.

Our weekend started with a look at the form. We used the form as a basis for appyling the principles of tai chi. We were encouraged to explore the depths of the form.  Substantial and insubstantial was looked at again to determine how we can get the most of out of the form.

The instructor retreat in April is always packed with lots of information, and it is always interesting to see how much we have managed to  incorporate into our own tai chi.  We covered much in two days and by the end of the weekend we were topped up again with new ideas and old ones and more stuff to which we can continue to work on our own.

The annual tai chi dinner never fails to disappoint and this year was no exception.  We had been training hard all day and we were all famished. This made the meal even more satisfying. Everyone was so eager in anticipation that we were all seated down on time and ready for the arrival of the delicious food. Each dish was yummy from the crispy aromatic duck to the lobster noodles ! As usual the company was good and Sifu made us all welcome. Roll on 2010... more training, more food !
